SkillsBank
Skills Bank provides employers across the Sheffield City Region access to high-quality training and funding to support skills training that will enable them to develop their business.
Coronavirus is affecting every business. We want you to know that Skills Bank is here to help businesses build packages of training and upskill staff.
To combat the impact of the pandemic we have made it easier for businesses to access Skills Bank and introduced two new strands of activity for businesses who are developing and adapting the way they work as well as businesses who are directly responding to the government’s Coronavirus strategy.
Firstly, a suite of Coronavirus responsive training programmes are now available to support businesses as they make changes to day to day working, either through new ways of working or if they are working on new products/services. This suite of practical training will help to stabilise businesses as they move to increased online methods to operate and communicate.
Secondly; Skills Bank Rapid Response will focus on providing a priority service to specialist businesses that are directly contributing to the government’s Coronavirus strategy. For example, businesses who shift manufacturing to producing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or services relating to the NHS or key workers, or where staff may need urgent training on new safety standards or using new technology or equipment.
