The latest SBRI Healthcare programme to be launched is Delivering a net zero NHS: Clinical Innovation Competition which seeks innovative solutions that will directly impact reductions in the carbon footprint of the NHS.

Specifically, innovations will help transform carbon intensive areas of clinical care and complex care pathways, to help the NHS meet its net zero ambitions. The four challenge areas include:

– Decarbonising surgical pathways

– Reducing waste in surgery and critical care

– Net zero personalised care

– Tools to support the workforce to deliver net zero care .
