Rotherham Children & Young People’s Fund

The Rotherham Children & Young People’s Fund has been launched following the sale of the former ‘Get Sorted Academy of Music’ building on Westgate in Rotherham which was gifted back to the Trust when the charity closed. As the work of Get Sorted focused on supporting young people, the Rotherham Children & Young People’s Fund is available to support activities and services for children and young people up to the age of 25.

The fund will run for the next 3 years with £25,000 available per year and organisations can apply for between £500 and £2,500. Organisations must be based in Rotherham and delivering their project in one or more of our eligible coalfield communities. Projects need to broadly address one or more of the Trust’s 3 core themes:

  • Employment – Activities which provide skills and/or experience to help create pathways into employment.
  • Skills – Any activities or training which would increase skills and knowledge. Training could provide progression routes to volunteering, further training and/or employment opportunities.
  • Health & Wellbeing – Activities which increase participation and improve health and wellbeing.
