Housing Adaptation Works

Doncaster Borough Council is to establish a DPS for housing adaptation works that are currently funded through the Disables Facilities Grant (DFG).

The funding received from the DFG is to pay for essential adaptation to a person’s current home to enable them to continue to live an independent life.

The property could be owned by a housing association, St Leger Homes of Doncaster, private landlord or privately owned.

The Council is seeking to appoint a range of Contractors able to provide adaptation works consisting of, but not limited to, the following including all associated works;

• Bathroom Adaptations e.g. level access showers, wet rooms

• Kitchen adaptations e.g. height adjustable worktops, remodelling

• Access ramps and handrails

• Revision work to property access, e.g. remodelling to steps and pathways

• The widening of internal doorways

• Ground floor extensions and building works

• Sundry other works that may be required.
