Sector: Construction
Service: Tender Writing Support Services

The Company
Hi-Point Access are a Sheffield based SME providing scaffolding and access services to new build projects, commercial buildings and residential property within social housing all over Yorkshire. They are a family business and have been established for 24 years.

About the support from FCS Associates Ltd
FCS wrote two tenders for Hi-Point Access. Both were for Sheffield City Council who were looking to bring contracts previously run by Kier back in house. The first was for a £550k Repairs and Maintenance Support Contractor’s Framework and the second was for a £2M Scaffolding Framework.

After downloading all relevant tender documentation several meetings took place during the initial scoping phase of the tendering process. This enabled FCS review the tender specification, understand their products and services, explore how they met the tender specification and agree what should be included in the application.

Following this meeting a draft was prepared of the tender questions. FCS also sourced and compiled supporting information for the tenders e.g. risk assessments and method statements. The draft application was shared with Hi-Point for them to review. Following their feedback, the final application was prepared and submitted on their behalf. This included: a completed standard questionnaire, method statement with detailed questions answered and a pricing structure. subsequently uploaded to the Proactis tender portal.

Results
Both tender applications were successful resulting in the inclusion of Hi-Point Access onto both frameworks.

Working with FCS was fantastic. They seem to know everything there is to know about tendering. They were very thorough and spent a lot of time understanding our company and products to ensure they had enough information to make our application stand out. We were so impressed with their tender writing skills and would recommend their services.
