Derbyshire Flood Hardship Fund

Local businesses

Our Derbyshire Floods Business Hardship Fund is available to businesses with up to 50 employees and is designed to support businesses with any immediate or short term loss of income or cash flow impacts to aid recovery while appropriate insurance claims are completed. Emergency payments of up to £300 are available following assessment of need and all applications will be considered on a case by case basis.

You will find a Derbyshire Floods Business Hardship Fund application form attached to this page.

In addition to emergency funding support, help and advice can be sought from D2N2 Growth Hub with business advisors available to provide further support needed to aid recovery. The local Chamber of Commerce is also able to provide advice and support, including free membership.

Government is also making funding available for small to medium enterprises (those up to 250 employees). An average of £2,500 is available through the Business Recovery Grant, aimed at businesses that have been flooded or directly impacted by the flooding. Financial support for farmers is being made separately and also for large businesses (those over 250 employees). Details of the fund are still yet to be confirmed, but information will be available from the Ministry of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
