Charity Governance Awards

The Charity Governance Awards is an exciting not-for-profit initiative created to celebrate outstanding governance and trusteeship in charities across the UK, allowing large and small not-for-profit organisations to inspire and learn from one another.

We all know that effective governance makes a difference. By sharing examples of inspirational trustees and brilliant boards we want to show how good governance and doing good go hand-in-hand.

The Charity Governance Awards are open to any charity registered in the UK; entries are free and easy to submit online, accepted between October and January each year. The Shortlist is announced at the beginning of April, and shortlisted charities are invited to a complimentary and exclusive Awards Ceremony and Reception in May, where the winners are announced. The winning charity in each category will receive an unrestricted grant of £5,000 as a prize.

There are seven award categories, covering challenges faced by both large and small charities (such as building Board Diversity and Inclusivity, Embracing Digital, measuring and Improving Impact, and more).
